The Hill of Crosses, Siauliai

The Hill of Crosses, is a site of pilgrimage, 12 km north of the city Siauliai, in northern Lithuania. Over the centuries, not only crosses, but giant crucifixes, carvings of Lithuanian patriots and more have been brought here by Catholic pilgrims. The number of crosses is unknown, but estimates put it about 50 000. It is a magnificent view!

In year 1993, Pope John Paul II visited the Hill of Crosses, declaring it a place for hope, peace, love and sacrifice.

When you visit Lithuania and are close to Siauliai, you are welcome to see this place you too.

If you wish, give a call to Asta at Goda, maybe she can follow you and guide to the Hill of Crosses.
